Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, condemned the attack as a crime against humanity and encouraged the public to maintain faith in the courage of security forces and J&K police. Sinha said, “Three days back, terrorists committed a heinous crime against humanity in Reasi. Everyone has anger about it, and I can understand that. I want you all to have trust in the courage of security forces and J&K police. We will be at ease only after eliminating terrorists and their supporters from J&K.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Jammu and Kashmir police released a sketch of one of the terrorists involved in the Reasi bus attack and announced a Rs 20 lakh reward for any information leading to his capture. The sketch was based on eyewitness descriptions.
The bus, carrying pilgrims from the Shiv Khori shrine to Katra, was attacked by terrorists around 6:10 pm on June 9, in the Pouni area of Reasi district, near the Rajouri district border. Jammu and Kashmir police believe the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba is behind the attack and have formed 11 teams to investigate.
