Responding to Rahul Gandhi in the ongoing Parliament session, Union Minister Amit Shah underscored that the Opposition had categorically linked Hinduism to violence. He said, “The Leader of Opposition has categorically said that those who call themselves Hindu talk of violence and do violence. He doesn’t know that crores of people proudly call themselves Hindu. Connecting violence with any religion is wrong. He should apologize.”
Earlier, the Gandhi scion slammed the BJP in Lok Sabha for spreading violence and hatred. Waving a poster of Lord Shiva in the Lok Sabha, he said, “If you look at Lord Shiva’s image, you’d know that Hindus never spread fear or hatred, but BJP spreads fear and hatred 24/7.” His remarks were countered by PM Narendra Modi, who said, “Calling Hindus violent inside the Parliament is a serious issue.” However, the Congress scion quickly remarked that BJP and RSS “aren’t the entire Hindu society.”
pic.twitter.com/cWxfwtJsk3
