Ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections, the Congress party released the election manifesto on Saturday.

The manifesto includes 11 commitments which include implementing the Old Pension Scheme in the state and waiving the farmers’ loan up to Rs 3 lakh. As per the people’s choice manifesto has been prepared.

If the party gets elected in the state assembly election this manifesto will be passed in the very first cabinet, said Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

“This manifesto will become the government’s document in the first cabinet if our government is formed,” Gehlot said.

“As Rahul Gandhi told us that people should be asked what should be there in the manifesto, they have been asked and over six lakhs people have come forward for this,” Gehlot said.

Meanwhile, in Gujarat, the elections will take place in two phases on 1 December and 5 December and the counting of votes will take place on 8 December.

Moreover, Rajasthan CM Gehlot lashed out at the current government over the Morbi bridge accident and said, “Understand the Morbi incident seriously. What problem does the government have in constituting a Commission under a sitting or retd judge of the High Court? If people are punished, people will be wary in the future. That is governance – it is zero here.”

Earlier on 30 October Morbi town collapsed in which 100 plus people died.

However, talking about Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) they have released the second list of six candidates in which two women are included.

The six candidates’ names are Mahendrabhai Padaliya from Dhoraji, Mulubhai Bera from Khambhalia, Dheliben Maldebhai Odedara from Kutiyana, Sejal Rajiv Kumar Pandya from Bhavnagar East, Hitesh Devji Vasava from Dediapada (ST) and Sandeep Desai from Choryasi.

Furthermore, the first list of candidates for 160 candidates was released by BJP on Thursday for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections.

Talking about the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections CM Gehlot said, “There is a storm in Gujarat as well like Himachal Pradesh. Congress is forming the government and the party’s mission is to win 125 seats that would be accomplished.”
