Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President JP Nadda has remarked that the Congress party and corruption are intrinsically linked, with corruption being synonymous with the Congress.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, Nadda stated, “Congress is equivalent to corruption. Party and corruption are two sides of the same coin. Wherever there is Congress, there is corruption, oppression, looting, and fraud.”He went on to contrast the BJP’s governance with that of the Congress, emphasising that wherever the BJP is in power, development and public welfare follow. He characterised the difference between the two parties as the contrast between light and darkness, akin to the difference between Amavasya (the new moon) and Poornamasi (the full moon).
“Madhya Pradesh was counted as one of the BIMARU states during the Congress’s governance. Now, it is one of the developed states. This is the difference”, he counted. During his speech, Nadda also drew attention to various corruption cases, including the AgustaWestland scam, the coal scam, and the MGNREGA scam, to illustrate the association between Congress and corruption.
Madhya Pradesh is one of the five states scheduled for elections in one phase on November 17, with the vote counting set for December 3. Voters will choose legislators for the state’s 230 Assembly constituencies.
