Collision In Telangana: One Dead, 30 Injured As Bus Hits Lorry In Kamareddy District

A tragic accident occurred in Telangana’s Kamareddy district early Tuesday morning, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old man and injuries to 30 others when a private bus collided with a lorry near Kyasampalli, as confirmed by police officials.

Devanpally Police Station Inspector Raju provided details of the incident, stating, “The accident took place at 3 am today when the bus hit the lorry from behind. One person was killed and 30 others injured. We have shifted the injured to Kamareddy General Hospital and Nizamabad Hospital. The deceased has been identified as Afsar Khan, aged 25 years.”

The case is pending registration, and further information is awaited.

In a similar unfortunate event last month, four individuals lost their lives and 15 sustained injuries when an omni bus collided with a lorry on the Chennai – Trichy Highway in Tamil Nadu’s Madhuranthangam, as reported by police authorities.

Additionally, in May, six people tragically died in a bus-lorry collision in Andhra Pradesh’s Palnadu district, with the bus en route from Chinnaganjam to Hyderabad.

In April this year, a family of five, including a child, lost their lives in a car-lorry collision in Kerala’s Kannur district. The accident occurred when the family was traveling from Thalassery to Kasaragod, with the lorry transporting gas cylinders from Karnataka’s Mangaluru.

The police confirmed that four occupants of the car died on the spot, while the child’s death was confirmed later at Pariyaram Medical College Hospital. The lorry driver also sustained injuries in the accident.
