City to receive traffic signal-free B2 Bypass in New Year

The upcoming year 2024 holds several gifts for the city, including the promise of a traffic signal-free B2 Bypass intersection. Simultaneously, the Jhotwara Elevated Road is set to be dedicated to the public. A sub-way for pedestrians and cyclists at Jawahar Circle and the enhancement of the city’s beauty with a monument on the Airport Road are also part of the new developments.

According to officials from the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), the Jhotwara Elevated Road is expected to be completed by March. The completion of this project, spanning 2280 meters from Ambabadi to the Jhotwara Panchayat Samiti, will benefit around one lakh people. Only 500 meters of work remain, and it is anticipated to be finished by February. The project incurs a total expenditure of 166 crores.

B2 Bypass to go signal-free in 8 months
The B2 Bypass intersection is set to become signal-free in the new year. The underpass work from EP to Tonk Road on one side has already been completed. Similarly, the work towards Manasarovar to Tonk Road has nearly finished.

Currently, the construction of the cloverleaf leaf near Sanganer and Ashram Marg is in progress. According to JDA officials, the remaining work will be completed by August, benefiting thousands of people traveling through Tonk Road.

Attractions await at Jawahar Circle
Entrants to Jaipur from the airport will soon be enchanted by the beauty of Jawahar Circle. The beautification work at Jawahar Circle is expected to be completed by February.
Two sub-ways have already been constructed, with one subway canceled. The trackwork is progressing, with an estimated 25% of the remaining trackwork set to be completed this month. Although the monument’s construction is 10% unfinished, the expectation is to complete the electrical work along with the monument’s beautification by February.
