Megastars Chiranjeevi and Rajinikanth attended the swearing-in ceremony of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N. Chandrababu Naidu as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. The event took place at Gannavaram Mandal, Kesarapalli IT Park in Vijayawada, where both stars were seen in white outfits.
Actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna greeted Chiranjeevi and Rajinikanth upon their arrival. Balakrishna also interacted with Union Ministers Chirag Paswan and Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu and was seen conversing with former Tamil Nadu CM O. Panneerselvam on stage.
N. Chandrababu Naidu took oath as Chief Minister for the fourth time, with this being his second term since the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2014. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and Nitin Gadkari were among the notable attendees.
Naidu first served as CM from 1995 to 2004 and then from 2014 to 2019 after the state’s bifurcation. Present at the ceremony were Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh, Union Minister Rammohan Naidu, and Nandamuri Balakrishna. The TDP-BJP-Janasena National Democratic Alliance, led by Naidu, achieved a landslide victory in the recent elections, securing a majority in the 175-member Andhra Pradesh assembly with 135 MLAs. The Janasena Party holds 21 seats, and the BJP has 8, while the opposition YSR Congress Party has 11 legislators.
