Chander Mohan Feels the pain of the poor and respects farmers: Himachal CM

Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu rallies support for Congress candidate Chander Mohan in Panchkula, highlighting Congress’ promises and criticizing BJP’s divisive tactics.

As the Haryana Assembly elections approach their final phase, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu visited the Panchkula assembly segment, addressing a public gathering in Barwala to support Congress candidate and former Deputy CM, Chander Mohan.
Sukhu described Chander Mohan as a beloved leader of the people, noting that from what he has observed, Chander Mohan’s heart aches for the poor, and he holds great respect for farmers. Sukhu further added that Chander Mohan is the son of a leader who introduced new dimensions of development to Haryana. He remarked that Chander Mohan has always followed in the footsteps of his father, Chaudhary Bhajan Lal, prioritizing the welfare of Haryana.
The Himachal CM emphasized that the four-time MLA is highly attuned to the developmental needs of his region and the individual concerns of his constituents. He said, “No one from Panchkula will need to run around to get their work done. A single phone call to Chander Mohan will ensure everything is taken care of.”
Sukhwinder Sukhu urged voters to remember the guarantees Congress has made when they cast their votes on October 5. He cited Congress’ promises, including Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers, a monthly payment of Rs. 2000 for women, and the reimplementation of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). Sukhu emphasized that these promises are not just slogans, unlike those of the BJP, but are firm commitments. He pointed out that his government in Himachal Pradesh has already fulfilled all of these promises.
Sukhu also said that the country needs Congress’ ideology. Criticizing the BJP, he claimed the party is working to divide the nation along religious and caste lines, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is focused on the upliftment of the poor and uniting all Indians through his nationwide efforts.
Addressing the gathering, former Deputy CM and Congress candidate Chander Mohan said that just as Congress, under Sukhu’s leadership, defeated the BJP in neighbouring Himachal Pradesh, the BJP’s misrule in Haryana will also come to an end on October 8. He thanked Himachal CM Sukhwinder Sukhu for his support and expressed confidence that his margin of victory would now be even greater.
