Border Security Forces (BSF) shot down a Pakistani drone carrying narcotics along the India-Pakistan International Border near the Amritsar border, the Force said in a statement on Monday.
According to the statement, the gross weight of the recovered consignment of suspected narcotics is approximately 2.7 kilograms. “On May 28, at about 8: 50 pm, alert Border Security Force troops deployed in-depth area, heard the buzzing sound of a suspected Pakistani drone, in the area near Village Dhanoi Khurd in district Amritsar…BSF troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone and successfully downed the drone with contraband.”
During a subsequent search of the area, BSF troops recovered a black DJI Matrice 300 RTK quadcopter drone, along with a consignment containing one bag of suspected narcotics.
Earlier on Sunday, BSF shot down a drone and arrested a smuggler with 3.2 kilograms of drugs near the India-Pakistan International Border in Punjab, the Amritsar DIG said.
