India’s border guarding organization, the BSF has recently announced, that one of their stationed constables, was assaulted at the India-Bangladesh border on Monday.
Further there was also an attempt to allegedly drag him across the border. Constable Bhole, who was tasked with operation of fenced gate, clashed with bangladeshi infiltrators, who were crossing illegally crossing the border around 1:30 pm.
Later, the situation reached a boiling point, as the miscreants started abusing and made provoking gestures towards constable bhole.
Then, these miscreants attempted to drag him towards bangladesh side and confiscated his weapon and radio set.
But somehow, the constable managed to escape. However, he acquired grave injuries due to bamboo sticks and iron rods.
Moreover, while issuing the statement, BSF revealed, that the group was involved in the illegal smuggling of sugar.
“At about 1330 hrs, a large group of Bangladeshi miscreants crossed over the International Border illegally and gathered near the fencing gate with the intention of smuggling sugar.” said BSF’s statement.
Following the incident, a command-level meeting was held with the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), during which the BSF formally lodged their protest.
After the meeting, BGB returned both weapon and the radio set to India’s border security force.
