Tea holds a cherished position in Indian culture, enjoyed throughout the year in scorching summers, heavy rains, and harsh winters alike. Often accompanied by biscuits or bread, nothing quite matches the delightful taste of tea paired with a delectable bun maska. Surprisingly, the love for bun maska has transcended borders and made its way to the streets of London, where a local Bakehouse recently added this beloved chai combination to their menu. This introduction of India’s favorite dish caught the attention of British content creator Lali, who humorously shared her delight in a recent video upon discovering the availability of this food item in the UK.

The video shared by the content creator features the owners introducing the dish by stating, “This is a Chai Guy Bakehouse bun maska with our own little twist. It’s a Japanese milk dough with a beautiful soft honey butter in between. If you wanna just appreciate and keep chai the centre stage, enjoying it with a simple bun maska which compliments the flavour of each chai that we do, then this combination is just the way to go.”

Gabriel and Abhilash, the proprietors, have innovatively introduced buns crafted from Japanese milk dough infused with honey butter. Chai Guys Bakehouse is bringing a taste of home to an overseas location with this distinctive variation. Presently, these delightful treats are exclusively offered during weekend afternoons.
