Breaking News: Army Gives PM Sheikh Hasina 45 Minutes To Resign Amid  Onoing  Bangladesh Unrest- Sources

The Bangladesh Army has given Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina 45 minutes to resign from her post as protests continue to intensify, sources told.

The protests began last month after the Bangladesh High Court ruled to reinstate a 30% quota for government jobs for the descendants of freedom fighters. When Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina refused to reverse this decision, the protests grew more intense, resulting in violent confrontations with police and government supporters.

The clashes involve student protesters, police, and ruling party activists are continue. Protesters are constantly demanding for the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her government.

Moreover, the anti-discrimination student movement in Bangladesh announced a “March to Dhaka” today, calling for the resignation of the Sheikh Hasina-led government. According to The Daily Star, movement leaders Asif Mahmud, Sarjis Alam, and Abu Baker Majumder have urged students and citizens nationwide to participate in the march. Initially set for Tuesday, the march was rescheduled for Monday due to recent fatalities and the current political climate.
