On World Emoji Day, actor Varun Sharma discussed how emojis have reshaped the way we communicate. Renowned for his humorous role as Choocha in the Fukrey films, Sharma sees emojis as vital to our everyday conversations.
“Emojis have become a language of their own; you can often sense someone’s mood just by their emoji choices,” he noted. For instance, if someone replies with a slightly smiling face during a disagreement, it typically suggests they’re annoyed. Sharma frequently uses heart emojis to convey affection and mentioned that some of his friends primarily communicate with emojis—60% text and 40% emojis!
In his family, the folded hands and hug emojis are particularly meaningful. Varun Sharma explained that he often keeps his family updated in their WhatsApp group, using these emojis to show care and connection.
As emojis continue to evolve, they play an important role in making our online conversations more engaging and expressive. This World Emoji Day let’s appreciate this lively form of communication and the joy it adds to our interactions!
