Sam Neill, renowned for his roles in ‘Jurassic Park’ and recent series like ‘Apples Never Fall,’ is set to co-star with Eric Bana in Netflix’s new limited series ‘Untamed.’ Produced by Warner Bros Television and John Wells Productions, the series, penned by Mark L Smith and Elle Smith, is a gripping mystery-thriller.
According to Deadline, Eric Bana portrays Kyle Turner, a dedicated special agent for the National Parks Service who faces challenges enforcing the law in the expansive wilderness. The storyline intensifies when Turner’s investigation into a brutal death uncovers unsettling truths concealed within the park and intertwined with his own past.
In ‘Untamed,’ Sam Neill takes on the role of Paul Souter, the seasoned chief park ranger of Yosemite, described as a pillar of the community and a close confidant to Turner (Bana). Comfortable with the complexities of his role, Souter brings depth to the narrative with his experience and wisdom.
Mark L Smith and Elle Smith will co-showrun and executive produce alongside Eric Bana, John Wells, Erin Jontow, Todd Black, Tony Shaw, Steve Lee Jones, and Cliff Roberts. Warner Bros Television is producing the series.
Recently seen opposite Annette Bening in Peacock’s ‘Apples Never Fall,’ Sam Neill received an Emmy nomination for his role in the 1998 NBC miniseries ‘Merlin.’ He has reprised iconic roles in franchises like ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ and ‘Thor: Love and Thunder.’ Neill’s upcoming projects include returning to the Australian crime drama ‘The Twelve’ as senior lawyer Brett Colby.
