Farah Khan’s Heartfelt Post: ‘My Mother Was Far Wittier And Funnier Than Sajid And Me’

Filmmaker Farah Khan took to social media to share an emotional tribute to her mother, Menaka Irani, who passed away in July. In her post, Farah expressed how witty and funny her mother was, surpassing both her and her brother Sajid. The news of Menaka Irani’s passing broke on July 26, and it took Farah weeks to gather her thoughts and share a post about her unique mother.

Cherishing Memories

Farah shared a series of nostalgic photos, including a childhood picture and a black-and-white throwback of Menaka, who briefly worked as an actor. Among the photos was an image from Farah’s 2004 wedding with filmmaker Shirish Kunder.

Farah reflected on her mother’s strength, noting how she never harbored bitterness despite life’s challenges and was always loved by those who met her.

Gratitude and Moving Forward

Farah expressed gratitude to those who supported her family during their grief, including celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji, who visited their home. She also thanked the doctors and nurses who cared for her mother in her final days.

Farah concluded her post by stating that it’s time to get back to work, something her mother always valued, and expressed her desire to celebrate her mother’s life every day.
