‘Blinkit Gold Coin Scam’, Man Received 0.5 GM Gold Coin Instead Of 1 GM Of This Brand

A Delhi resident, Mohit Jain, has publicly expressed frustration after claiming to have been “scammed” by Blinkit, a popular quick-commerce platform, when he ordered precious metals. Jain, who ordered a one-gram gold coin and a ten-gram silver coin from the Gurgaon-based platform, discovered that instead of the one-gram gold coin he paid for, he received a 0.5-gram version. His disappointment with Blinkit’s response led him to voice his concerns on social media.

Incident Unfolds with Order Mix-Up

Jain shared that the mix-up became apparent once he returned home shortly after his brother had received the delivery. Despite his specific order for a one-gram Mata Lakshmi gold coin, he found that a 0.5-gram rose design coin had been delivered instead. Immediately attempting to resolve the issue, Jain contacted Blinkit’s customer support, only to be met with automated responses as the complaint window had closed within 20 minutes of delivery. His CCTV footage, as well as pictures of the delivered item, reportedly support his claim of an incorrect delivery.

On social media, others echoed his dissatisfaction, with some warning against ordering high-value items from the platform. Another user criticized Blinkit’s customer support as ineffective, calling it “a joke.”
