After the counting process started at 8 am, initially Congress took the lead indicating its a one-sided victory. However, as the counting of votes progressed, the BJP made a spectacular comeback around 10 AM getting an edge at least on 50 seats.
It is noteworthy that official information shared by the Election Commission revealed that a total of 67.90% voting was reported in Haryana, which is slightly less than the 68.20% of the last election.
Political experts are of the opinion that Key factors which contributed to the tremendous victory of BJP, comprises polarisation of OBC vote bank, prevailing infighting in Congress party and better organisational management of the saffron party.
