Bishnoi Mahasabha President Calls Salman Khan’s Family “Liars” in Response to Salim Khan’s Remarks

Amidst ongoing threats to actor Salman Khan, his father Salim Khan’s recent statements have drawn sharp criticism from the Bishnoi community. In an interview, Salim Khan questioned why Salman should apologize, claiming that neither his family nor Salman had ever done anything wrong, “not even killed a cockroach.”

In response, Devendra Budhiya, National President of Bishnoi Mahasabha, criticized Salim Khan’s remarks, accusing the Khan family of dishonesty. In a conversation, Budhiya said, “If Salman Khan has been found guilty, how can his family claim they haven’t harmed anyone? He [Salman] has definitely hunted near our village, and he was arrested by the police and forest department, spending three days in jail.”

Budhiya emphasized that Salim Khan’s denial was hurtful to the Bishnoi community, adding, “Salman’s weapon was seized, and he was sentenced by the court. Does that mean everyone—police, forest department, and the court—is lying? The truth is on our side.”

“We Don’t Take Bribes”: Bishnoi President

Reacting to Salim Khan’s reference to extortion and bribery, Budhiya firmly rejected the insinuation, stating, “We don’t want his ill-gotten money. We are hardworking people, committed to protecting wildlife and the environment. Our community has a long history of sacrifice, with 363 members martyred for saving trees.”

Budhiya also urged Salman Khan to visit a temple and apologize for his actions, though he added, “If he doesn’t want to apologize, that’s his choice.”

Bishnoi Community’s Conservation Efforts

The Bishnoi Mahasabha President highlighted the community’s deep commitment to wildlife conservation, citing their selfless dedication to protecting nature. “Our rescue centers are open in our village, and every year we lose people in our mission to save trees and wildlife,” he said.
