A truck crushed a bike rider on Derabassi Barwala Road due to which he died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Dheeraj (22) alias Bittu son of Ravinder Singh, resident near Saini Bhawan, Derabassi. Police have taken the truck into custody and started investigation.
According to the information, the deceased Dheeraj was coming from Barwala Road Bhagat Singh Nagar to his house Saini Bhawan. When he reached in front of the meat market, a truck coming from behind hit him from behind, due to which he fell on the road and the rear tire of the truck passed over his head, due to which he died on the spot. After the accident, the truck driver fled leaving the truck. The police have taken the body in their custody and started further action.
Instead of taking the body of the deceased in a police vehicle, the police called for a motorcycle cart and loaded the body in it and took it to Derabassi Civil Hospital. There was a lot of discussion about this among the people present at the spot. The deceased was the eldest son in his family. He also has a younger brother and an elder sister. He was working in a Volvo agency.
