In response to the recent bridge collapses in Bihar, the Nitish Kumar-led government has suspended 11 engineers. This comes days after it issued notices to contractors and sought reports from its own departments. A total of 10 bridges have collapsed within a fortnight in the state with the most recent being that in Madhubani district.
