Janmashtami is being celebrated with great fervor throughout the Vraj region, honoring the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. Both children and adults are coming together to celebrate and pay tribute to the deity.

The management of the renowned Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan has issued a crucial advisory for those attending the celebrations. Due to anticipated large crowds and recent incidents at the temple, they have decided that children and elderly individuals should not be brought to the temple on Janmashtami day. This measure is intended to ensure their safety and better management of the visitors.

This year’s Janmashtami festivities will extend over two days in Mathura. On August 26, the celebration will be held at Lord Krishna’s birthplace in Mathura. The main festivities at the Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan, believed to be Lord Krishna’s residence, are scheduled for August 27.

To handle the expected large turnout, the temple management has made extensive preparations. However, controlling visitor flow remains a challenge. To aid in managing the crowd and ensure a smooth experience, the temple has issued additional guidelines. Visitors are advised against bringing bags or any other luggage into the temple. The advisory stresses that separate routes for entry and exit will be in place. Devotees should use the designated entrance for entry and the exit gate for departure, with strict instructions to avoid entering through the exit or exiting through the entrance gate.
