Atishi Takes Oath as Delhi Chief Minister; Five Ministers Sworn In

In a historic ceremony, Atishi from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi today. This significant event marks her as the first woman to hold this position in the national capital’s history. Alongside her, five ministers also took their oaths of office, setting the stage for the new government. The oath was administered by Delhi LG V K Saxena.

The ceremony took place at the Raj Niwas, attended by party leaders, supporters, and dignitaries. In her inaugural address, Atishi expressed her gratitude to the people of Delhi for their support and emphasized her commitment to transparency, governance, and addressing key issues faced by the city.

“Together, we will work towards making Delhi a better place for all its residents,” she stated, outlining her administration’s focus on education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.

The five ministers sworn in with her include key figures from the AAP, who are expected to play crucial roles in the new government. Their portfolios are anticipated to focus on critical areas such as health, education, and urban development, reflecting the party’s agenda to improve the quality of life for Delhi’s citizens.

The AAP’s victory in the recent elections has paved the way for this new administration, which aims to build on previous initiatives while tackling emerging challenges in the capital.

As Atishi takes charge, the people of Delhi are hopeful for a progressive and responsive government that prioritizes their needs and aspirations.
