Arijit Singh’s recent show in Dubai has sparked significant attention, especially within the communities of Pakistan and India. A clip from the event has been circulating on the internet, where Arijit Singh is seen apologizing to Mahira Khan, a Pakistani actress in the audience, for initially not recognizing her.

The playback singer stated, speaking to the crowd, “You guys must be surprised, should I reveal? I should reveal it in a very nice way. Can we have a camera there? I was trying to recognize this person, then remembered I had sung for her. Ladies and gentlemen Mahira Khan sitting right in front of me. Think about I was singing her song Zaalima and it’s her song and she was singing and standing and I couldn’t recognize her. I am so sorry ma’am gratitude and thank you so much.”

Mahira Khan, clad in a stylish black outfit, greeted the audience with a wave.

The Bollywood blockbuster ‘Raees,’ marking Mahira Khan’s debut in the industry, featured superstar Shah Rukh Khan alongside. Arijit Singh, who lent his vocals to the hit track ‘Zaalima.’ The film was released in 2017.

Mahira gained fame for her roles in various Pakistani television dramas and films, including ‘Razia,’ ‘Humsafar,’ ‘Bin Roye,’ and ‘Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay.’

In her personal life, Mahira tied the knot with Pakistani businessman Salim Karim for the second time last year. This marks Mahira’s second marriage, as she previously married Ali Askari in 2009, with whom she shares a son. However, their marriage ended in 2015.
