“AND STILL I RISE” EVENT BY IWN CHANDIGARH CHAPTER AND NOVEL BUNCH CELEBRATES WOMEN EMPOWERMENT AND RESILIENCE

The Indian Women Network (IWN) Chandigarh Tricity Chapter, in collaboration with Novel Bunch, hosted a remarkable event titled “And Still I Rise” on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the prestigious CII NR Headquarters in Chandigarh. The event, which commenced at 1530 hrs, brought together a diverse array of inspiring women and esteemed speakers to celebrate their achievements and resilience. “And Still I Rise” event aimed to showcase the remarkable achievements of women across various fields while highlighting their unwavering persistence in the face of challenges. Through engaging keynote addresses, insightful panel discussions, and networking opportunities, the event provided a platform for attendees to connect, learn, and draw inspiration from each other’s experiences. Dr. Ruby Ahuja, Chair of IWN Chandigarh Tricity Chapter and Consultant Psychologist, delivered the welcome remarks, setting the tone for an empowering and insightful gathering. The keynote address was delivered by Ms. Saguna Jain, Co-Founder of Novel Bunch, who shared her perspectives on women’s empowerment and the importance of resilience in achieving success through personal examples. The first panel discussion, “She Soars,” was moderated by Mr. Sandeep Sahni, an esteemed author and President of the Chandigarh Club. On stage, a diverse group of influential women took their places, Ms. Kavita Chatterjee Das, an esteemed educationist, Ms. Kamaljeet Kaur, a seasoned communication professional, Ms. Rushika Sharma, a brave Punjab Police officer and Ms. Mandeep Caur, a Vice-President in Customer Service at Vodafone Idea Ltd. Each shared stories of their journey, highlighting the resilience and leadership that propelled them forward, leaving the audience in awe and inspired to pursue their dreams. After that TEDx Motivation Speaker Mr. Vivek Atray also spoke about how women from various spheres of life are leaving an indelible mark on society. Following a brief break, the stage transformed for the “Rhyme & Reason” panel discussion. Mr. Mubarak Sandhu, a renowned author and poet, took the moderator’s seat. Poets from different backgrounds and experiences joined him. Nagina Bains, the immediate past Chair of IWN Chandigarh Chapter and Director of Testler, Abha Joshi Sharma, an architect with a poetic soul, Aditi Gupta Garg, the founder of Contented; and Dr. Jaslovleen Sidhu, a Consultant Neurologist with a passion for poetry. Together, they explored the depths of their craft, delving into themes, inspirations, and the power of poetry to provoke thought and evoke emotions. As the evening progressed, the final panel discussion, “Different Strokes,” unfolded under the guidance of Col Ashish Bedi, the Executive Secretary of the Defence Services Officers’ Institute, Chandigarh. On stage, women from various career paths shared their stories. Upneet Bhatia, a talented cake artiste, Sandeep Kaur Virk, a dynamic Talent Manager and Tavleen Batra, a passionate Golf Coach. Each panelist offered insights into their unique journeys, inspiring the audience to break barriers and redefine success on their own terms. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Hardeep Singh Chandpuri, Co-Founder of Novel Bunch & Head of 90.8 Capital FM, followed by a networking high-tea, where participants had the opportunity to network and engage further. Overall “And Still I Rise” exemplified the spirit of women’s empowerment and resilience, inspiring attendees to pursue their goals fearlessly and redefine success on their own terms.
