The ADRE examination for grade 3, HSLC level posts, was held on September 15 for more than 11 lakh aspirants in a single shift from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Most aspirants felt the Mathematics and English question papers were easy or moderately tough.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said the government will evolve a standard operating procedure (SOP) for the frisking of female aspirants. This came after an incident where a Nalbari candidate complained of indecent search before her September 15 exam. She posted on Facebook narrating her questionable experience, saying: “They placed their hands in my private body area and even touched private areas. I did not know what was happening, but I felt embarrassed and ashamed. I would have never attended the examination if I knew this was going to happen to me.”

He added that the Chief Minister himself discussed the case in North Lakhimpur wherein cheating materials were found in the inner garment of a female candidate. The ADRE examination should be maintained at the highest level of integrity and transparency in this regard while showing respect to the dignity and decency of female candidates, he said.
