AAP Protest In Delhi: Bibhav Kumar Brought To Arvind Kejriwal’s Residence By Delhi Police

Delhi Police has brought Bibhav Kumar, an arrested aide of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, to the CM’s house in connection with the Swati Maliwal assault case. Kumar was apprehended by the police following allegations of assault against AAP MP Swati Maliwal.

Reacting to Kumar’s arrest, Kejriwal accused the Prime Minister of orchestrating a political vendetta against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), referring to it as “Jail ka Khel” (game of jail). In a video message shared on Saturday, Kejriwal claimed that AAP leaders are being systematically targeted and incarcerated by the BJP-led government.

The Delhi Court has scheduled May 20 to review the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) chargesheet against Kejriwal and AAP. Additionally, the police have recorded Swati Maliwal’s statement regarding the alleged assault at the CM’s residence.

While the Supreme Court refrained from engaging in political discussions regarding its decision to grant interim bail to Kejriwal for campaigning during the Lok Sabha polls, it welcomed critical analysis of its judgment. The court clarified that it had not made any exceptions and justified its decision based on what it deemed appropriate.
