CHANDIGARH: AAP state president and MP Bhagwant Mann said on Friday that the failure of the Punjab government for not been able to send the unanimously passed agriculture laws in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, to the President of India, was a result of the collusion between Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and the Governor, who were acting at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
This had exposed Captain Amarinder Singh’s conspiracy to mislead the people of Punjab about these laws, on the command of PM Modi, he said in a statement adding that the Captain-led state government had pretended to make a law by convening a special session of the Vidhan Sabha. He said that Captain Amarinder Singh was lying and had done this to mislead the people of Punjab and if there was any sincere concern for the farmers, he would have followed it.
“Captain Amarinder had said in the assembly that legal action would be taken against the laws of the centre. He had spoken to the Advocate General of Punjab in this regard. Surprisingly, AG has such a large army of lawyers, but did nothing,” said Mann. He further said that Captain Amarinder Singh in collusion with the BJP was misleading the farmers of Punjab to do nothing against the centre’s agriculture laws, which according to the farmers were ‘death warrants’.
