74th Republic Day parade concludes with spectacular airshow, motorcycle display

On the Kartavya Path on the 74th Republic Day, Delhi witnessed a spectacular presentation of discipline and grit as Army contingents and other personnel marched and concluded with spectacular airshow and motorcycle display.

After the Republic Day celebration President Droupadi Murmu and Republic Day Parade Chief Guest, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi were escorted and President Murmu departed for Rashtrapati Bhavan.

In a grand finale of the Parade 45 aircraft of the Indian Air Force, one from the Indian Navy, and four helicopters of the Indian Army showed the Fly Past.

After the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen waving to onlookers.

Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh, Ladakh and 23 tableaux was showed. The Uttar Pradesh tableau was inspired by the Ayodhya Deepotsav celebration.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh tableau showed the three-day Deepotsava being organized since 2017.

Moreover, depicting the nation’s rich cultural heritage, economic progress, and strong internal and external security 23 tableaux was showcased.

Earlier in the morning President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the national flag at Kartavya Path followed by the national anthem.

However, on the occasion, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was the Chief Guest, who arrived on Tuesday.

Furthermore, till 30 January the celebration will be continued which is observed as Martyrs’ Day.

The winners of the highest gallantry awards — the Param Vir Chakra and the Ashok Chakra are as followed. Subedar Major (Honorary Capt) Bana Singh, Param Vir Chakra (Retd), 8 JAK LI Subedar Major (Honorary Capt) Yogender Singh Yadav, Param Vir Chakra, 18 GRENADIERS (Retd) Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar, Param Vir Chakra, 13 JAK RIF.

The Ashoka Chakra awardees include Maj Gen CA Pithawalla, Ashok Chakra (Retd), Colonel D Sreeram Kumar, Ashok Chakra, Lt Col Jas Ram Singh, Ashok Chakra (Retd).
