26 Delhi Government-Run Hospitals Will Reserve Two Beds For Heatstroke Patients, Says Health Minister

Delhi’s government-operated hospitals are taking proactive measures to address the current heatwave conditions. Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj announced that each of the 26 government hospitals will set aside two beds specifically for heatstroke patients.

Additionally, LNJP Hospital will allocate five beds for the heatstroke patients. This decision comes in the wake of a tragic incident at an east Delhi neonatal hospital where seven newborns lost their lives in a fire.

“In view of the ongoing heatwave conditions, 26 government-run hospitals will reserve two beds each for patients while five beds will be reserved at LNJP Hospital,” Bharadwaj told reporters.

The move aims to ensure prompt medical assistance for individuals affected by the extreme heat.
