For the first time in India, the food delivery company Zomato has recently launched a larger fleet for the larger groups of up to 50 people.

Taking to twitter (Now X), CEO Deepinder Goyal made this announcement through a series of posts saying, “they are excited to launch India’s all electric large order fleet to serve the gathering of 50 people”. Promising an ideal customer experience.

While talking about this new addition, CEO Deepinder Goyal said “Such large orders were earlier served by multiple regular fleet delivery partners, and the customer experience wasn’t what we really aspired for. These new vehicles should solve most of the problems our customers face while placing large orders on Zomato.”

He also stressed on the one fact that these big electric vehicles fleets are still an “Ongoing development”. And will make further important additions to them like cool compartments and hot boxes with established temperature control.

This announcement comes around the time when just last year launched a multi-cart feature, allowing customers to order from various restaurants at the same time in July.

This move reflects Zomato’s overarching strategy for introducing the use cases for food delivery, in order to expand further in the market.
