The highly-anticipated Women’s Premier League 2023 is finally all set to start a thrilling journey with a opening match of Gujarat Giants vs Mumbai Indians on Saturday, 4 March at the DY Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai.

For those who are curious to know, let us tell you, there will be a total of 20 league matches and two playoffs matches which will be played in a total of 23 days. The tournament will see a total of 87 women cricketers from 7 different nationalities in action live.

If you’re wondering, let us make it clear, this year’s tournament will be quite different that we have seen so far as this year’s tournament is paying the cricketers much more than anyone could imagine. For instance, Jemimah Rodrigues will be paid around 22 times more for 3 weeks of play than she earned for an entire year of international competition for India. On the other hand, Richa Ghosh is earning 19 times more than usual.

Throughout the 22 games in this season, each of five teams will face each other twice before two semi-final game which will determine the top 2 teams for Championship game, which is scheduled to be held on 27 March.
