Member of Parliament Kartikeya Sharma has called for Centre and state to work together to make a strong and capable India. As the country celebrates Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi, inspired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this is the right time India moves ahead with the spirit and enthusiasm. “Let us work together to make the country and the state strong, capable, clean, healthy, and happy,” the MP said.

The MP has said this while hoisting the tricolor in Anaj Mandi in Yamunanagar on the occasion of Independence Day. Among others, the occasion was attended by his wife Aishwarya Pandit.

Kartikeya Sharma said he bows before the freedom fighters who made their sacrifice for the freedom struggle. “The revolution of 1857 was first started in Ambala Cantonment. The spark that rose from here not only took the form of a freedom struggle but also ended the rule of the East India Company. During the revolution of 1857, every village in the state became the centre of revolution, and later it became a symbol of the struggle of the people of Haryana against British rule.”

Praising Haryana’s contribution to Indian sports, Kartikeya Sharam said the promising players of the state have excelled wherever they have gone. In the recently-concluded Commonwealth Games, players from Haryana have created history.

He said that it is a matter of pride that Haryana has responded well to the Prime Minister’s call of ‘Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi’. “A state-level function has been organised in Panipat on the occasion of Prakash Parv of the ninth Guru of Sikhs, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji. At the same time, remembering the ten gurus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to celebrate martyrdom day every year on December 26 as Veer Bal Diwas. Along with this, he has also taken the initiative to celebrate Parakram Day. It is a matter of pride that from August 13 to 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a unique campaign of tricolor to be hoisted every household across the country.”

The MP said that it is a matter of great happiness that national flag was hoisted at 60 lakh houses in Haryana. On the other hand, Haryana ranks first in the country by organising more than 10,000 programmes to celebrate Amrit Mahotsav.

Referring to the Ranbankurs of Haryana, he said that whether it was the 1965 war or 71, the soldiers of Haryana have always written history with their blood. Everywhere, the heroes of Haryana have played an important role.

On the other hand, the Manohar Government has constituted the Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Departments in the state for the welfare of ex-servicemen and paramilitary forces. In addition, the government has also decided to give compensation of up to 50 lakhs to the martyred soldiers.

The MP said Haryana government has worked for the welfare of the state by rising above caste and nepotism. “It is working for the welfare of all sections without any discrimination. So that the benefit reaches the last person. All facilities are being provided in the state to the doorstep.. Many expressways have been completed and the work for many is in progress. At the same time, after the implementation of the youth education policy, the government will give a scholarship of up to 5 lakhs to the students from classes 10th to 12th.”
