This week on We Women Want we discuss WOMEN’S REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH, with Dr Jayshree Sundar, director Obgyn at the Madhukar Rainbow hospital who has been described by her colleagues as the busiest gynecologist in Delhi & Dr Tanya Buckshee Rohatgi an IVF specialist.

Tanya is the lead consultant on reproductive medicines, IVF and oncofertility at the Max hospital. She began the Max PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma Theray for endometrial and ovarian rejuvenation at Max. The two talk about issues related to women’s reproductive health, what is the right time for conceiving and the difficulties with late pregnancies. They also stress upon the importance of a stress free reproductive cycle explaining that the stress of a high pressure job could lead to difficulties in conceiving.  The tests that all women need to do are also explained as well as the extra care an expectant mother of over 40 year needs to exercise to ensure a healthy baby. Apart from the ovarian cycle which is best during the late 20s and early 30s, the bone mass also peaks when you are in your 30s. In fact expectant mothers who are about the age of 30 are tested for down syndrome. The importance of nutrition and a healthy diet was also discussed on the show with tips for expectant mothers.We Women Want is a weekly show on NewsX that focuses on women’s issues.
