The Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru is set to host the ICICI Lombard sponsored ITF Women’s 25K, which is also supported by REVA University and Renault. This event is scheduled to take place from February 26 to March 5 of 2023.

The competition is likely to bring the top women’s tennis players in the world, who will compete for the title in both the singles and doubles category. The main draw is scheduled to start on Tuesday, February 28th, after the qualifying rounds are completed on Sunday, February 26th and 27th.

The tournament promises to be an exciting one for the players as well as spectators. The two top ranked Indian players Ankita Raina and Karman Kaur ranked 245 and 265 respectively in the world will take part in the competition.

While hosting the event, Vivek Kumar, Founder of Padukone – Dravid Centre of Sports Excellence said that, “Through this international tennis tournament, the Padukone – Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence aims to promote and develop women’s tennis in the country.”

The event is a premier one, which is sanctioned by the International Tennis Federation (ITF). It is scheduled to be hosted under the aegis of All India Tennis Association (AITA) and Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA).

Sania Mirza is now on the verge of retirement, so now time has come for the new generations to take away ahead of Indian women’s tennis at the world stage.
