POEM: My Little Fairy Girl

I saw you as the tiniest thing I have ever known,
yet those sparkling eyes still touch my soul.
Your feet as if a fairy’s pride,
your smile fills me in so bright.

The thought that you are mine,
surely seems like the plan divine.
I wonder and I gaze,
as your little hands touch me
with a warm embrace.

I was always left in awe,
of your rapid growth that I saw.
This was all looking back in time,
but now I see a young lady
who simply loves to mime,
and she sings a song,
as if cheering on the time.

As the clock starts to tick,
I see your rainbow feathers,
shimmering in so quick.
And it’s only a matter of time,
before your charming prince
comes in to dine.
