Revealing the suspicious death of a youth in the Sadar police station area, the police arrested the wife of the deceased. The accused’s wife had told a false story of killing her husband and committing suicide. The police revealed the incident within 48 hours of the incident.
Police officer Kartar Singh said that on Sunday, the police found the body of 26-year-old Mohanlal, a resident of Bhadra in Om Colony of the city, in his rented house. The wife of the deceased had narrated the story of suicide to the police, but the family members of the deceased had filed a case in the Sadar police station accusing the daughter-in-law of murder.
Police said that the police found the role of the deceased’s wife suspicious in the entire incident. The police station officer said that after the post-mortem report of the deceased came when the woman was examined and questioned strictly, she confessed to killing Mohanlal by strangulation.
Police said that Mohanlal, a resident of Bhadra, and the woman, a resident of Pandareu Tibba, had a love marriage in the year 2019. Both of them have been living in a rented house in Om Colony for the last about 8 months. There was a rift between the two for the last few days. Due to this, the woman killed her husband Mohanlal. Sadar police station took action and arrested the accused wife, revealing the entire incident just 48 hours after the incident.
Police Station Officer Kartar Singh said that Mohanlal was at home on the night of the murder. When his wife came from outside after working as a labourer, Mohanlal was under the influence of alcohol. There was a dispute between the couple and both of them slept without eating food. After which, at night, the woman strangled Mohanlal, who was sleeping on the cot, to death with a rope. After this, she remained sitting near the dead body the whole night. Police said that when they reached the spot, the woman had created a story of suicide. At present, the accused woman is being interrogated.
