Shabnam Bi, previously married to Ghulam Rubani from Salotri area in Poonch, has raised concerns after her sudden disappearance. Family members allege that she crossed the Line of Control (LoC) into Pakistan, prompting the launch of an inquiry by local authorities.
Officials informed The Daily Guardian that Shabnam had been in touch with her three uncles and one aunt in Pakistan, along with an individual who had promised to marry her through WhatsApp calls. She embarked on the journey from the Rangar Nallah area of Poonch to marry the person, but upon crossing over, he reportedly refused to fulfill his commitment.
An official revealed, “She was in touch with him for an extended period over WhatsApp, and he refused to marry her. The lady, accompanied by her two daughters aged 4 and 1.5 years, crossed over to Pakistan from the Rangar Nallah area of Poonch.”
The police have received a missing person complaint, prompting them to take cognizance of the matter and launch a thorough investigation.
