Customs officials at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport made a major bust, intercepting a female passenger arriving from Hong Kong who was carrying 26 iPhone 16 Pro Max devices hidden inside her vanity bag. The phones were cleverly wrapped in tissue paper in an attempt to avoid detection.
The smuggling attempt was uncovered during a routine inspection of the passenger’s luggage. Upon closer examination, customs officers found the high-value smartphones, which have a significant market value in India.
Authorities are currently investigating the case further to determine whether the woman acted alone or was part of a larger smuggling operation.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max, which is available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants, is priced at Rs 1,44,900, Rs 1,64,999, and Rs 1,84,900, respectively, in India.
