A woman was arrested for allegedly stalking and kidnapping a TV anchor in the Medchal Malkajgiri district of Telangana with the intention of marrying him, police reported. The accused, Bogireddy Trishna, works as a digital marketer and is accused of installing a GPS device in the TV anchor’s car to monitor his movements.

The incident came to light after Pranav Sista, a software engineer and anchor at Gemini TV, reported a kidnapping case at the Uppal police station. He stated that he was abducted by four individuals on February 11 while returning from his office in Medchal Malkajgiri. Pranav managed to escape from the kidnappers and filed a complaint with the police.

According to the police, two years ago, Trishna came across a person on a matrimony site who was using Pranav’s profile. She alerted Pranav about this, leading him to file a complaint with the police. However, Trishna began stalking and harassing Pranav after this incident. She also allegedly installed a GPS device in his car to monitor his movements and threatened him. On February 11, she, along with hired individuals, reportedly took him to her office and threatened him further.

The police investigation led to the seizure of an Apple AirTag GPS device. It was also discovered that Pranav had been beaten during the kidnapping, resulting in damaged ear drums.

Trishna’s motive behind the kidnapping was reportedly her desire to marry Pranav, who had refused her proposal. She has been arrested, and the police are in the process of apprehending the other accused individuals involved in the incident.
