Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his election campaign in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur ahead of the final phase of general elections set for Saturday. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is aiming for its third term in office, with PM Modi extensively campaigning across the country.

Following the wrap-up of his Lok Sabha election campaign, PM Modi is scheduled to visit Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari from May 30 to June 1, where he plans to visit the renowned Vivekananda Rock Memorial. He intends to meditate at the Dhyan Mandapam, the spot where Swami Vivekananda once meditated, from May 30 evening to June 1 evening.

This location signifies the southernmost tip of India, where the country’s eastern and western coastlines converge, along with the meeting point of the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal, and Arabian Sea. PM Modi’s visit to Kanyakumari symbolizes national unity.

Known for undertaking spiritual journeys at the conclusion of election campaigns, PM Modi visited Kedarnath in 2019 and Shivaji’s Pratapgarh in 2014. He commenced his poll campaign for the ongoing Lok Sabha election in Kanniyakumari on March 16 this year.

Throughout the campaign, PM Modi held over 200 election events, including rallies and roadshows, spanning 75 days. He campaigned extensively in various constituencies across states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Maharashtra, and Odisha.

PM Modi also gave numerous interviews to media outlets, highlighting the development work undertaken by the BJP-led government at the Centre while criticizing the opposition on various issues like reservations based on religion, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

In an exclusive interview with ANI, PM Modi expressed confidence in his party’s performance in West Bengal in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, asserting that the BJP will achieve significant success in the state.

PM Modi slammed the Congress and the Gandhi family over constitutional amendments during their tenures, affirming his commitment to safeguarding the Constitution’s basic tenets.

He reiterated the BJP’s commitment to implementing ‘One nation, One election’, emphasizing the positive and innovative suggestions received by the committee formed under the chairmanship of former President Ram Nath Kovind for this purpose.

The ongoing Lok Sabha elections, spanning seven phases, will culminate on June 4, with voters from 57 constituencies exercising their franchise across eight states and Union Territories in the seventh and final phase.
