The decision whether Varun Gandhi will remain in BJP or leave the party will be taken today because the first phase of Pilibhit elections is to be held on April 19 and Wednesday is the last day for filing nominations for it.

It is understood that Varun will also take a decision by Wednesday. The question is not only about Varun, it is also about his mother Maneka Gandhi. There is doubt whether she will contest the elections alone without her son. Therefore, eyes are also on her to see what she does, although Maneka Gandhi’s seat Sultanpur is to be voted in the sixth phase i.e. on May 25. There is still time for her nomination. From the party’s stand, it does not seem that Varun will be nominated from any other place. Anyway, Varun has made a name for himself in Pilibhit in the last five years. But the party, angry with some of his statements, made Jatin Prasad its candidate from Pilibhit.

After being denied the ticket from Pilibhit, everyone’s eyes are on Varun Gandhi’s next step.

Varun Gandhi has maintained complete silence after being denied the ticket. But there are indications that he may contest the elections as an independent candidate from Pilibhit.

It is understood that Maneka Gandhi and Varun Gandhi will decide today whether they want to remain in BJP or separate from the party. Maneka has been associated with BJP for more than three decades while Varun has also been doing BJP politics for one and a half decade. He also worked successfully in various posts in the party. But the way he raised his voice in support of the farmers during the farmers’ movement, increased resentment in the party due to which his ticket was cut. The way he maintained his activism in Pilibhit, it is certain that he would not like to leave Pilibhit.

After the announcement of elections, he bought nomination papers last week. From this it is understood that he can contest the elections as an independent candidate. The opposition can support him.
