Actor, rapper, and film producer Willard Carroll Smith II, commonly known as, Will Smith, has dismissed claims that he attended the reportedly raunchy parties hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs.

With the spreading rumours and memes, Smith confirmed his position. “It’s incredibly difficult for you guys to tell what’s true and what’s not in the world we live in right now, you know? And I’ve been seeing y’all memes and stuff,” said Smith. “Some of that material is funny. I haven’t publicly spoken on any of this but I want to make very clear that I have nothing to do with Puffy, even though some of it is funny so all those memes can stop.”

The actor often dismisses unfounded rumours, but because, he says, “y’all memes were doing too much,” he decided to confront these allegations. He said, “Listen, I do enough of my own shit. Don’t be putting me in other people’s bullshit. I ain’t been nowhere near that man, ain’t did none of that stupid shit. So, whenever y’all hear it, if somebody say that, it’s a damn lie. I don’t even like baby oil.”

Jay-Z and Sean Combs were accused in a lawsuit filed by attorney Tony Buzbee on behalf of an accuser named Jane Doe. The lawsuit claims that Combs and Carter drugged and forced the victim to sign an NDA after an MTV afterparty in 2000. One of the allegations included in this amended lawsuit, which originally only named Combs, is a federal indictment against Combs for running a criminal business for his “sexual gratification.” Jay-Z has denied the allegations, calling it a “blackmail attempt.”
