In the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, following the elections for 20 seats, the second phase of voting for 70 seats is set to take place on November 17. Similar to the previous elections, a direct contest between the Congress and BJP is anticipated.

However, the exclusion of rebel candidates from ticket nominations has led to discontent within both parties. Notably, while 6 rebel candidates from the BJP are independently contesting, there are 12 rebel candidates from the Congress marking their presence. The scenario involves rebel candidates on the 70 seats scheduled for the second phase.

Rebel Candidates from the Congress
– Pradeep Khare from Jashpur Vidhan Sabha is contesting against the Congress’ official candidate Vinay Bhagat.
– Anubhav Tiwari from Sakit Vidhan Sabha is contesting against the Congress’ official candidate Dr. Charandas Mahant.
– Tekchand Chandravanshi from Jaijaipur Vidhan Sabha is contesting against the Congress’ official candidate Baleshwar Sahu of the Jogis’ Congress.
– Gorelal Barman from Pamgarh Vidhan Sabha is contesting against the Congress’ official candidate Sheshraj Harbansh of the Jogis’ Congress.
– Chatrapal Singh from Palitana Khar Vidhan Sabha is contesting against the Congress’ official candidate Duleshwari Sidar of the Jogis’ Congress, who was the district president of Congress’s ST Morcha.
– Sagar Singh Bais from Lormi Vidhan Sabha is contesting against the Congress’ official candidate Thaneshwar Sahu of the Jogis’ Congress, who was a member of the district panchayat.
