After the rallies of INLD and JJP conducted in Kaithal and Seekar respectively recently, the BJP stalwart Chaudhary V Birender Singh organised the ‘Meri Awaaz Suno’ rally on October 2. He had repeatedly termed the rally a non-political event but it is impossible for such events to not have a political significance.

Through this rally, he not only cornered his party BJP but also gave an open ultimatum that he is still left with several options in case the party neglects him. On the issue of farmers and female sportspersons, the BJP leader left no stone unturned to stand against his own party.

Besides, by praising Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and late former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, he directly indicated that he could also join Congress.
Leaving the ball in BJP’s court, he announced to leave the party if BJP did not bring the alliance with JJP to an end. He directly made it clear that the BJP will have to choose between the JJP and Birender Singh.

He fiercely targeted BJP’s ruling ally JJP and also left no stone unturned in cornering Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala stating that Chautala has been involved in corruption on a large scale and hardly anyone has committed a bigger betrayal than JJP. In his speech, Birendra Singh showed a rebellious attitude and also gave the impression of taking a big step ahead of forthcoming polls if his concerns were not taken into consideration by the party.

The assembly elections in Rajasthan and then Lok Sabha elections are to be held in 2023 and 2023 respectively, and in order to put on a tough show, the BJP will have to brainstorm before taking any decision. Since Birendra Singh has now announced this publicly, no chance of retreating the same. In such a situation, the BJP will have to weigh all the ‘pros and cons’ and take a decision before the upcoming elections, which will have far-reaching implications on state politics.

Birendra Singh also praised Congress in his speech giving an indication that he will not refrain from joining hands with the Congress in case he is left with no options. He said that hardly any other leader could have gained the respect he got in Congress.
