Two times IPL champion Kolkata Knight Riders is waiting for its captain and middle-order batter ShreyasIyer speedy recovery who faced a back injury during the fourth Test at Ahmedabad. Iyer has been advised to lie low for the time being for a fast recovery and he is doing so to join his KKR’s squad as soon as possible.
According to sources, the results of scans was not good for Iyer and he was straightaway withdrawn from participating further in the Ahmedabad Test.
After the recurrence of back pain, ShreyasIyer flew back to his hometown, Mumabi and has been consulting Dr.Abhay Nene, who is an expert of spine complications at Lilavati hospitals in Mumbai.
The BCCI has not yet issued any official statement on Iyer’s medical health. But, Iyer has been ruled out from the India’s squad from the three match ODI series against Australia.
