The police have obtained two days remand of former MLA Joginder Pal of Constituency Bhoa, who was arrested on Friday in an illegal mining case. His wife has also been named in this case. Pal accused the Punjab government of coercive politics. He was first given medical treatment at the Civil Hospital and later produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Daisy Bangar. Pal said that the government is playing vendetta politics. All the allegations are baseless.
