At the All-India Farmers’ Fair in Meerut, one attraction is stealing the show: Anmol, a buffalo from Haryana’s Sirsa. Priced at a staggering ₹23 crore, this remarkable animal is more valuable than two Rolls-Royce cars and ten Mercedes-Benz vehicles. To put it into perspective, its price tag is enough to buy 20 luxury homes in Noida. Visitors from across the region are flocking to the fair, astounded by the buffalo’s hefty price and unique features.
Anmol’s daily diet is as exclusive as its price. The buffalo enjoys a special regimen that includes 5 kg of milk, 4 kg of juicy pomegranates, 30 bananas, 20 protein-rich eggs, and a quarter kilogram of almonds. In addition, Anmol gets two baths daily and massages using mustard and almond oil.
Anmol’s exceptional physique isn’t just admired in the fairground—its semen also sells for ₹4-5 lakh each month, contributing to its high value. Its owner, Jagat Singh, collects and distributes Anmol’s semen, benefiting from its exclusivity as part of the prized Murrah breed. Singh spends ₹60,000 per month on Anmol’s diet, but the profits from the sale of its semen bring in ₹4-5 lakh each month.
Visitors are captivated by Anmol’s gigantic build and its lavish lifestyle, with many taking selfies and photos to remember the moment. In addition to Anmol, other prized buffaloes like Lakshmi and Rani, each producing 30 liters of milk daily, also attract attention.
The event was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi and State Minister Baldev Aulakh, making this farmers’ fair an even more high-profile affair.
