What is NEOM?

The major project of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, NEOM, is a $500 billion smart city project that is being developed in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. With an aim to create a sustainable living space that would also work as a tourist destination, smart city innovations will be incorporated, combining world-class technology with data and intelligence.

Furthermore, the KSA’s megacity, NEOM, features a 100% renewable energy model for urban sustainability. Moreover, the city will become a global healthcare benchmark through innovative technology, research and education.

What to expect from Saudi Arabia’s NEOM?

Mainly developed as a new model for sustainable living, working and prospering, the Saudi Arabian city of NEOM is all set to feature smart towns and cities, ports, enterprise areas, research centres, sports and entertainment venues and attractive tourist areas. Some of the main regions and projects of NEOM are as follows:

Running on 100% renewable energy and preserving around 95% of the land, the Line will feature multiple hyper-connected communities, with walkable neighbourhoods integrated with public parks and the natural landscape.

The 170-km long linear urban development will also offer an ideal climate throughout the year, featuring world-class quality of life and the best preventive healthcare facilities. With access to all facilities within a five-minute walk and a high-speed rail, the Line provides an unprecedented urban living experience by placing humans first.
