A teacher is one of the most influential people in someone’s life, and the impression teachers leave on their students stays with them forever. Teaching is one of the most challenging and rewarding professions at the same time, and if you’re considering stepping foot in this field, we highly recommend going for it! One of the most significant plus points of being a teacher is perhaps the reputation and respect you get when you become one; that feeling is truly something else. But the real question is; What’s the scope of an educationist? Are they in demand? – But most importantly

Which Teachers will be in Demand in the Future?

If we talk about the demand, one thing’s for sure: education is becoming increasingly extensive every year and becoming a basic necessity lately. According to statistics, its demand will also increase in the coming years. Teaching is an art, and competent teachers are needed everywhere in the world in several different areas and subjects. UNESCO Institute for Statistics estimates we’ll need 69 million new teachers by 2030 to meet global education goals. These statistics speak for themself, and I don’t think we need more justification for the growing demand for teachers.

Now coming to the areas and subjects that will be in demand in 2023, if you’re aiming to be a teacher and skeptical about where to start, here are the most demanded teachers in the upcoming year.

  1. English Language

Believe it or not, about 67.3 million residents in the United States now speak a language other than English at home. This means that one in five kids speak a language other than English, and when they enter schools, they have difficulty understanding almost all subjects because of this gap. This emphasizes the demand for English language teachers to grow worldwide evidently.

  1. Mathematics

One subject that students all around the world struggle with is mathematics. Mathematics is a subject that requires excellent teaching skills to help students have a grasp on a subject as complex as maths. Because of the lack of competency of teachers, students find it hard to master – another opportune subject to teach in 2023.

  1. Special Education

There’s a broad spectrum of students with mental health problems, learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, physical challenges, etc. With more awareness and conversations about the importance of education for such students, the demand for teachers in the particular education sector is at an all-time high.

  1. Science

Just like mathematics, sciences are not a piece of cake. The need for medical specialties and breakthroughs is never enough, making this area full of prospects for passionate teachers. Science subjects can be dry; like most teachers, not everyone has the passion and ability to teach a subject like this. If you’re interested in being a more globally demanded teacher, science is the way to go!

Edtech is the talk of the town lately, and all these subjects can easily be taught over the best tutoring platforms in the next year. English tutors online are the most demanded teachers for the reasons mentioned above, so no matter where you are, it’s always a great time to become a teacher.
