In an effort to reduce crowding and enhance convenience for railway passengers, the railway authorities have announced the operation of the Weekly Special Train between Amritsar and Katihar.
The 05734/05733 Amritsar-Katihar-Amritsar Weekly Special Train will run for a total of 8 trips. Train number 05734 will depart from Amritsar every Thursday from July 25, 2024, to August 15, 2024, completing four trips in total. The train will leave Amritsar at 4:25 am and arrive in Katihar at 3:00 pm.
In the return direction, train number 05733 will operate from Katihar to Amritsar every Saturday from July 27, 2024, to August 17, 2024, for four trips. This train will depart from Katihar at 11:40 am and reach Amritsar at 12:10 pm the next day.
En route, the Weekly Special Train will halt at several key stations: Beas, Jalandhar City, Ludhiana, Sahnewal, Ambala Cantonment, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut City, Hapur, Khurja, Aligarh, Etawah, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Deoria Sadar, Siwan, Chhapra, Chhapra Rural, Sonpur, Hajipur, Barauni, Begusarai, Khagaria, Mansi, Thana Bihpur, and Naugachia in both directions.
